Combat PTSD: Michael Orban offers hope
We are not here to cure combat post-traumatic stress, but to provide a place to share the experiences of veterans and military families. You'll find articles about PTSD and links to resources that can help all of us become more resilient.
When I found answers for myself, a voice said,
"'this is not your information to keep"
As a US Army infantry combat veteran, it is my belief that veterans and their families hold the most power and carry the most information in the national effort to heal minds and souls after war.
I'm very familiar with the spritual darkness that descends after war. I was left with an overwhelming volume and intensity of experiences and reaction that froze my mind and soul in that time at war. We must must find the path to move forward in life to experience the joys that lay ahead.
I urge you to break out of solitary confinement. Join the brotherhood and sisterhood of war veterans who can first empathize and then comfort you as you seek reconciliation with the forces that changed your life.
Praise for Souled Out
"It
gives a clear and "user-friendly" feeling for PTSD...I will be recommending your book
plenty!"
~
Dr Patti Levin, clinical psychologist, The Trauma Center, Boston, MA
"The final chapters give one of the best accounts available of the emerging awareness of PTSD in the medical community and how this awareness has led to understanding and treatment for veterans of all wars. I don’t think there is any one of us combat veterans who won’t recognize some of himself in these pages."
~ Fmr Sgt. Christopher Gaynor, Combat Veteran, Viet Nam
